A volunteer-run food charity feeding and connecting our corner of Huddersfield.

Who we are
The Pennine Table started with a few crates of surplus veg and a stubborn belief that nobody in Huddersfield should go hungry, and that getting help shouldn't mean proving you deserve it. Our pantry is open to everyone, every week, no means test, no forms, no judgement.
We're run entirely by volunteers and funded entirely by donations. Between the weekly pantry, hot meals three times a week in the community kitchen, and a food rescue operation that keeps 12 tonnes of good food out of landfill each year, we're held together by people who turn up — Thursday after Thursday — because it matters.

Three things we won't budge on.
Everyone's welcome at the pantry — no means test, no questions, no sense that you have to earn a meal.
We rescue 12 tonnes of surplus food a year and turn it into pantry shelves and hot meals rather than landfill.
From the kitchen to the loading bay, every shift is covered by local volunteers giving their time freely.
